Major Michael Moore joined CAP as a cadet in 1982 at Skagit Composite Squadron. He raised through the ranks to Cadet Lieutenant Colonel, attended National Cadet Officer School in 1985, and IACE to Great Britain in 1986. 

Major Moore served in the US Army as a Combat Medical Specialist receiving multiple awards including 3 Army Achievement Medals and the highly coveted Expert Field Medical Badge. 

As a Civil Air Patrol Officer, he has served in many roles including Communications, Public Affairs, & Deputy Commander for Cadets at both Skagit and McChord Squadrons and is also a past Squadron Commander at McChord Squadron. CAP awards and ratings include Mission Observer, multiple commendations, Lifesaving Award, and a master rating in his true passion of Cadet Programs. 

In civilian life, is married with one son (a former CAP Cadet, naturally), works as the Global Access Control Manager for the software company Adobe Systems, and is a private pilot.
