[Date TBD] - Groups Automation: Groups will be added for all specialty track areas, so that members of specific staff/specialty communities can be mass-communicated with, even if not currently serving a unit in that function. The expected format should be "it-track@wawg.cap.gov"
[Date TBD] - Groups Automation: Several unit-level duty positions that currently receive email aliases will have those aliases converted to groups, and some offices will be added to the list of unit-level automated staff groups. These include:
Aliases to convert: cd, cdc, gp/cpo, pa, do, eso, sel, se, fm
Groups to create: it, cp, ae, dp, da, lg, command-section, pilots, drivers, dok
[Date TBD] - Groups Automation: We will be deleting the Cadet Promotion Review Board groups. Cadet PRBs are not required by R35-5, and do not comport with R60-1. Cadet PRB duty assignments remain available in eServices, tickets are being filed to address this oversight.
[Date TBD] - Wing Staff Groups: Planned name changes to wing staff groups. Pending Wing Commander Approval and staff notification, the wing staff email groups will undergo name changes to shorten names and place the function up-front ("Administration Office" instead of "Office of Administration"), and reflect the nature of the office ("Directorate," "Office," "Section," or individual title). The email addresses are not expected to change. Proposed Change Sheet.
[7/28/25] - Account Automation (Aliases): Reduced Group Commander Aliases to one each, and replaced legacy aliases with email routing rules. Legacy aliases will no longer show in the directory, but will still work. The GP/CC aliases are now nwgp-cc@wawg.cap.gov, swgp-cc@wawg.cap.gov, and egp-cc@wawg.cap.gov.
[7/28/25] - Wing Staff Groups: Wing Staff Groups were updated to reflect all change of command appointments, and to include offices which were previously left out of their parent office's email groups, and thus the overall wing-staff group. This will be particularly noticeable in the operations groups. Note: management of these groups is manual, not automatic.
