Requirements

Basic Students: 

• Min. 14 years of age (by start of event)
  (May be waived by local unit commander and activity director.)

• CAPF-101 with GES rating and trainee status for both GTM3 and UDF or better (Click the link to visit the Wing website's "How to get your 101 card" page)  

The following qualifications should be current on your CAPF 101 card.

• • SQTR for GTM3 with “GTM3 - Commander Approval for Prerequisites” shown as ACTIVE

• Approval of your unit commander (CAPF 60-81). Non-WAWG cadets' units must notify their director of cadet programs.

• If you will be age 18 or older by the start of this activity, you must have completed the Cadet Protection Basic Course indicated in the NHQ database.

Advanced Students: 

• Same as above, plus

• Current qualification of (at least) GTM3 and ability to demonstrate knowledge.
  (GTM3 may be expired/Trainee status.)

• First Aid current from a nationally recognized organization

Cadets applying for the Advanced Course must also meet the following conditions:

• Physical Category 1 (in accordance with CAPP 60-50)

• Completion of Encampment by the start of the Academy

Wilderness First Aid Students: 

• Same as Advanced Students.
