Green Darner Cyber Education Camps

Cyber Education Camps are one of the best opportunities to quickly acquire knowledge about cybersecurity to help protect yourself and those around you against cyber threats in our digital society. There are two levels for these camps: a standard level for members starting their training, and an advanced level for those who have already completed the standard level or who have equivalent experience.

These camps are possible thanks to the partnering of CAP National with the Air Force Association CyberPatriot and Cisco  Networking Academy to provide us with teaching materials and virtual images.

Additionally, the Western Washington University Cyber Range is supporting the Washington Wing Cyber Education Programs by providing us with a secure training environment on their Cyber Range.

The Standard Camp is typically held in mid-July.
The Advanced Camp is held late July or early August.
Location: Washington Wing Headquarters, JBLM, WA.
The dates are arranged by CAP National Cyber Programs.

These camps are open to cadets and senior members. They cover the contents of the AFA CyberCamps curricula which are supplemented with a variety of Computer Science and Engineering topics and activities. Special guests visit us for career panels and/or for presentations. These computer specialists come from a wide range of fields such as software & internet industry (Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Dell), communication (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile), and military (US Air Force, Air National Guard, National Guard). We are waiting to hear back from a few more to expect your experience.
